Easy Salmon Recipe: Sweet and Sour Salmon
This easy salmon recipe is an oldie but a goodie. This is one of the easy salmon recipes I learned back when I was only getting started in the kitchen. I hope you love this easy salmon recipe as much as I do! It has served me well in different tables and will do the same for you. Try it!
Ingredients:
juice of 3 lemons
8 bay leaves
pepper
1 cup seeded raisins
1 sliced lemon
2 tablespoons sherry wine
sherry wine
6 cloves, heads removed
salt
yolks of 3 eggs
1 onion
3 spoons sugar
Steps:
1. Take the strained lemon juice, half cup of water, one teaspoon vinegar.
2. Slice in one onion and add raisins, bay leaves and cloves, and let come to a boil.
3. Put in salmon, a large two-inch slice, and let boil five minutes, with a little salt.
4. Add the sherry and sliced lemon (without seeds) and the sugar, or two Nuremburgher honey cakes.
5. Boil until salmon is cooked through; pour off gravy; turn salmon and ingredients slowly on platter without breaking.
6. Beat yolks, and stir gravy in slowly.
7. Put back on stove and stir until it thickens, and then pour over salmon.
8. Serve cold.
